How to change the guest on a booking

Sometimes the person who makes the booking is not the person who will actually be arriving at your door. Whether a company is booking for an employee, or a guest has simply handed their reservation over to a friend, updating the name on the booking is quick and easy. This guide will show you exactly how to swap the guest details so you can welcome the right person.

1. Open the booking in your calendar

Start by clicking on the specific booking right on your calendar to open up the main Booking Details screen.

2. Click to change the guest

Look for the handy 'Change Guest' icon and give it a click.

3. Check if they have stayed with you before

It is always a good idea to search for the new guest first before adding them from scratch. This keeps your records beautifully neat and prevents you from accidentally creating duplicate client profiles!

  • Use the search fields to type in the new guest's details.
  • If they pop up in the list of results below, simply click on their name to select them.

4. No matches? Add a new guest

If your search does not bring up any matches, do not worry! It just means they have not stayed with you before.

  • Click the 'Add Client' button.

  • Once you have filled in their information, click 'Save'

5. Confirm your changes

You will now notice that the guest details on the Booking Details page have successfully been updated to the new person.

Simply click 'Save' one last time to lock your changes in. You are all set!
