Adding a marketing source lets you affiliate a booking to a source. Once a source is added on NightsBridge, a marketing report can be generated when needed, providing you with data on the bookings received from a specific source, including commission information.
This information will also update on the booking summary report.
Information on how to generate reports is available HERE.
Select an existing marketing source
- Click on the 'Search for Source' field.
The Market Sources search page will open.
- Use the search field and type in the name of the new marketing source.
Note that no results populate as there is no existing marketing source matching this name. - Click the 'Add Source' button.

The booking is now affiliated to the newly added marketing source.
- Click within the 'Commission' field to activate the cursor and enter the commission percentage if applicable.
Commission percentage added will automatically apply to future bookings from this source
The last commission percentage entered and saved on a booking, for an existing marketing source, will automatically be applied to all future bookings affiliated to the existing market source.
- If the channel does not charge commission, leave the commission percentage as 0.00.
- If the specific source charges commission, you should indicate the commission value.
Keep the marketing source commission percentages up to date.
When commission percentages change, update these on a booking from that channel/market source. All future bookings from the particular channel/marketing source will have the same percentage applied.
Past bookings will always display the then applied commission percentage.
If there was no commission percentage added prior when getting bookings from a booking source, you will need to manually capture the percentage of commission you were charged at that time when the booking was made.
Save your changes
When you have made any change to a booking, it is important to save your changes on the Booking Details.
Exit the window using the 'X' on the top right.
