How to Add a New Marketing Source to a Booking

Knowing exactly where your bookings are coming from is a great way to see what's working for your business. By adding a marketing source to a booking, you can easily pull reports later to track your performance and manage your commissions.

Here is how to quickly add a brand-new marketing source:

Information on how to generate reports is available HERE.

1. Open the Booking Details

Start by clicking directly on the room in your calendar to open up the full Booking Details.

2. Search for the source:

Type in the name of the new marketing channel or agent. Because it's new, you won't see it pop up in the results just yet.

  2. Simply click the 'Add Source' button.

Just like that, the booking is now linked to your brand-new marketing source!

3. Add your commission rate:

Click on the 'Commission' field and pop in the percentage they charge. If it is a commission-free channel, you can just enter 0.00.

A quick tip on future bookings:

The system will remember this for you! Whatever percentage you enter here will automatically apply to all future bookings from this specific source. If their rates ever change, just update it on the next booking. Your past bookings will safely keep the old percentage.

Just remember, if you never added a commission rate to older bookings, you'll need to capture those manually

4. Save your changes:

Make sure to save your updates, and then close the window by clicking the 'X' in the top right corner.
