Booking Details: Booking Notes Overview

When you are looking at a reservation on your Booking Details page, you'll see it is divided into three easy-to-read sections. If you've already explored the Guest Details, it's time to move over to the middle panel: Booking Notes.

This section is your central hub for tracking the status of the reservation, where it came from, and any special information you need to keep on hand. Here is a quick tour of what you can do here:

Seeing your status at a glance

Updating the status of a booking is a great way to keep your whole team on the same page. Even better, the status you choose automatically changes the colour of the booking on your NightsBridge Calendar. Once you get used to the different colours, you'll be able to understand the status of all your bookings with just a quick glance at your screen.

Who made the booking?

Often, the person making the reservation isn't actually the guest who will be staying. In the Booking Made By section, you can easily assign a specific client profile to the booking. From here, you have the option to:

  1. edit their details,
  2. swap the profile out for a different one,
  3. or even send the person an email directly.

Tracking your references and sources

Keeping track of where your business comes from is crucial for your growth.

  1. Reference: This handy field lets you add an internal reference number for your direct bookings. If the booking came from a connected channel, the original source ID (like a Booking.com confirmation number) will usually display right here.
  2. Source and Commission: Want to know what is driving your bookings? You can link a specific marketing source to the reservation to track its success. You can even set a specific commission percentage for that source right here.

Keeping track of the little things

We all know how important it is to remember the little details about our guests or their stays. The Notes section is the perfect place to jot down anything you or your team might need later. If a booking comes through a connected channel, this section will automatically fill up with the information provided by that channel. But don't worry, you can always type in your own additional notes, too!

Quick tip: Just click the little expand/collapse icon if you want to stretch the notes out across the panel to read them more easily.
