NightsBridge Online Calendar

Booking Details: Booking Notes Overview

On NightsBridge, booking-specific information is presented within the Booking Details of each booking. This would be where you view and manage booking specifics such as the arrival and departure dates, guest information and communication, payment information and guest billing.

The Booking Details is divided into three sections.
This article is the 2nd of 3 providing an overview of the Booking Details.

1. Guest Details 2. Booking Notes 3. Account
Providing booking dates, room, rate and occupancy information, as well as guest details, their extras and communication.
Providing the booking status, booker (Made by) details and external booking reference.
This will also display the booking source, applicable commission and the booking notes covering payment and other specific information.

Providing actionable access to booking and guest billing, as well as the payment status and booking history.

Booking Notes

Here is a run-through of the information on the second panel - Booking Notes.

Each collapsible section provides more information on a topic.

1. Status

Updating the status of your bookings does not than keep everyone informed on the status change within the Booking Details. The status also dictates the colour used to display the booking on your NightsBridge Calendar.

Once familiar with the colour displays, the status of a booking is available at a glance of your NightsBridge Calendar.

2. Booking Made By

Often the booker is not the guest. In these situations you can assign a client profile to the 'Booking Made By' field.

Here you have the opportunity to:

  1. edit the client profile
  2. change the client profile
  3. email the client
3. Reference

The Reference field allows you to add an internal reference to your direct bookings, or as the field to display the source booking reference or ID when receiving a booking from one of your connected booking channels.

In this example, the field was populated with Booking.com Booking Confirmation number.

4. Source and commission percentage

Adding a source to a booking lets you track the business from the specific source.

When creating a source, the specific commission percentage can be set.

5. Notes

We often receive important information regarding our guests or the bookings that we need to keep a note of. The Notes section allows you to record any information you may need later or shared with your team.

For bookings received from connected booking channels, the notes section will automatically be populated with information provided by the booking channel. Even with this information provided by the channel, additional information can still be added manually.

By clicking the expand/collapse icon you are able to expand the Notes area to display this information along the length of the Booking Notes section.

Using NightBridge on a mobile device?

Booking Details - Mobile view

The same Booking Details is available when using NightsBridge on a mobile device such as a smartphone.
To accommodate the various sizes of mobile device screens, the Booking Details mobile display is slightly different.

On a desktop computer or laptop, all three Booking Details sections are displayed at the same time. When viewing the Booking Details on a mobile device, the three Booking Details sections are available as separate tabs, displayed individually when selected.

Select the tab to view

The layout of each tab, resembles the desktop display as much as possible. This helps you remain confident when using NightsBridge on either desktop and mobile devices.
