Knowing exactly where your bookings are coming from is the best way to see which of your marketing efforts are working. While bookings that drop in from your online channels will automatically tag their source, you might need to quickly add this detail yourself when you are adding a manual booking to your calendar.
Here is how to quickly link a source you have used before:
1. Open the booking details:
Start by clicking directly on the room in your calendar to open up the full Booking Details.
2. Find your source:
Click on the 'Search for Source' field.
A list of all your existing marketing sources will pop up. You can simply choose the right one from the list, or start typing the name in the search box to find it even faster. Just like that, your booking is linked!
3. Check the commission rate:
Click on the 'Commission' field. You can enter the commission percentage here, or if it is a commission-free booking, just pop in 0.00.
A quick tip on future bookings:
The system will remember this for you! Whatever commission percentage you enter and save here will automatically apply to all future bookings from this specific source. If their rates ever change, just update it on their next booking. Your past bookings will safely keep the old percentage.
Just remember, if you never added a commission rate to older bookings, you'll need to capture those manually
