You may need to change a booking from one room to another. This could happen if you overbooked a room or want to upgrade a guest to a better room.
For bookings from extranets or channels which accommodate multiple room changes, the booking must be changed with the extranet before the change is made on NightsBridge. This prevents problems with commission and availability.
Check your Room Types for any Close Outs
Close Outs which you have captured can be seen in your calendar. It is useful to check to make sure you do not have any restrictions on the days you want to create the manual booking.
- Toggle your calendar to show you the Room Type View. Any Room Types with a Close Out will be highlighted. In this example, the Double Room room type is closed out for November.
- Hover over the highlighted block to see what kind of Close Out is applied.
Click on the booking you would like to move to another room
In this example, we want to move the booking in Room 5 for 19-21 November booked for Chris Parker.
Click to change room
Click on Change.
Choose the new room
- Click on the drop down menu for New Room.
- All available rooms for the duration of that booking will show.
- Choose the room you want to move the booking to. In this example we want to move the booking from Room 5 to Room 6.
Save your changes
Click to Save the new room.
Check the rates which are being charged and change if needed
The rates will default to what they were with the original room.
- This warning message will appear.
- Click on Proceed.
Do you want the rates from the original room to be applied to the new room?
Put in a manual rate
- Over-write the rates with the rates you want to apply. In this example, we want a rate of ZAR650 to apply rather than the ZAR500 which was applied from the previous room rate.
- Click to Save.
Click to Save your changes.
Note the change in your calendar
The booking will now show in the new room in your calendar. In this example, the booking for 19-21 November for Chris Parker is now in Room 6.
