How to move a booking to another room

An in-house guest may decide to extent their stay and this could require you to change an allocated arrival room for another booking. Perhaps you simply want to upgrade a guest to a better room. In either situation a new room may need to be allocated to a booking.

For bookings from extranets or channels which accommodate multiple room changes, the booking must be changed with the extranet before the change  is made on NightsBridge. This prevents problems with commission and availability.

Bookings from connected extranets or channels:
Any room allocation changes must be made on the connected extranet before the change is made on NightsBridge. This prevents any issues related to commission and availability.

Check your Room Types for any Close Outs

Close Outs can be seen in your calendar.   It is useful to check this to make sure you do not have any restrictions for the dates you want to create the manual booking.

  1. Toggle your calendar to show you the Room Type View. Any Room Types with a Close Out will be highlighted. 
    In this example, the Double Room room type is closed out for November.
  2. Hover over the highlighted block to see what kind of Close Out is applied.

Change the allocated room

Click on the booking to open the Booking Details

Click on 'Change'

  • Click on the 'Change' button.
    The 'Change Room' pop-up will display.

The current room will display above, with the new room below.

  1. Click on the drop-down menu at 'New Room' to see the available room options and make a selection.
  2. Click 'Save'.

Check the applied rates and change them if needed

The rates will default to what they were with the original room.

An alert will display.

  • Click on 'Proceed'.

Do you want the rates from the original room to be applied to the new room?

No rate changes need to be made.
Click to 'Save' your changes.
You will be returned to the booking details.

The booking will now display in the newly allocated room.

Input a manual rate

  1. Replace the rates with the rates you want to apply.
    Use the 'Fill to the right' function to apply the same rate throughout, or untick it to apply a different daily rate if needed.
  2. Click 'Save'.
    You will be returned to the Booking Details.

The booking will now display in the newly allocated room.
