How to change the meal plan on a booking

Workflows are not supported in your browser.
Please use a recent version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari to display this page.

If additional meal plans are available, a guest with an existing booking may decide to change their original meal plan.

Changes to bookings from commission-based channels

Remember that commissions are based on the rate booked. Any booking changes should always be made by the guest via the booking channel originally booked. This ensures that the rates are adjusted with the channel and any commission is adjusted accordingly.

Was the booking booked direct or via a external channel?

Since this was a direct booking, it is free of any commission and you can amend the meal plan directly on NightsBridge.

Open the Booking Details

  • Open the Booking Details of the booking.

Change the Meal Plan

  1. Click on the 'Rates' drop-down
  2. Select the new Meal Plan
  3. Cick on 'Save'

A pop-up confirmation message will display

Refresh the rates

  • Click on 'No' to view the rates.
  • Click on the 'Refresh' button.

Please Note!
Bookings originally made on rate or meal plans that have since been deleted may cause the Refresh functionality to fail. Once a rate or meal plan has been deleted the rates information no longer exists on NightsBridge.

This may cause the 'Refresh' button to return a 0.00 rate than would need to be manually updated by typing it in.

  • Click on 'Yes' to refresh the rates

Note that the rates have refreshed.

  • This refresh has updated the daily rate according to the new meal plan selected.
  • The Booking Total has also updated.
  • Click on 'Save'

Save the changes

  1. Click 'Save' on the Booking Details.
    • A confirmation message will display.
  2. Close the Booking Details.

You can now provide the guest with an updated booking confirmation. This makes sure they have a booking confirmation, providing updated information on any pricing changes.

Never amend bookings on NightsBridge until the requested changes are communicated to you by the booking channel.

The guest has to amend the booking via the booking channel

Inform the guest that any changes to the booking must be made directly with the original booking channel.

Once the guest or booker has amended the booking with the booking channel, the channel will either update or inform NightsBridge of the change.

You will receive an email regarding the booking change.
