Use Add Booking to block or reserve a room. If you receive a direct booking on the phone or via email, you need to add the booking to your NightsBridge calendar to block the room and keep your availability up to date.
Check your Room Types for any Close Outs
Close Outs which you have captured can be seen in your calendar. It is useful to check to make sure you do not have any restrictions on the days you want to create the manual booking.
- Toggle your calendar to show you the Room Type View. Any Room Types with a Close Out will be highlighted. In this example, the Double Room is closed out for 8-10 November.
- Hover over the highlighted block to see what kind of Close Out is applied.
Select the room and dates of the booking
- Click and drag to select the room and dates you want for the booking. In this example, the booking is in Room 5 for 19-21 November.
- Click to Add Booking.
Add guest details
- Start typing in the Client Info section using First Name, Surname or Company name.
- A list of existing guests with matching first names, surnames and/or company names will appear in the box below the search fields.
Can you see details of the guest you want in the list?
- The guest has not stayed with you before.
- Type in the new guest's name and surname. In this example, Chris Parker has not stayed in the property before. A new guest record will be created.
- The guest has stayed with you before.
- Choose the guest from the drop down list. The guest's details will populate. In this example, Chris Parker is a returning guest.
This will avoid you creating a duplicate client in NightsBridge.
Put in the number of guests
Change the default number of guests to the number of guests in the booking. In this example, there is one adult and one child staying.
Click on Add Booking
Save and close the booking
- Click to Save the booking.
- Click on the X to close the booking.
View your booking
The booking will now appear in your calendar.
