How to add a booking to your calendar

Getting a direct booking over the phone or via email is always great news! To make sure that guest secures their spot, and to automatically update your availability across your channels to prevent a double booking, you'll want to add them to your NightsBridge calendar right away.

Adding a new booking is quick and simple. Just follow these straightforward steps:

1. Double-check your availability

Before you start, it's always a good idea to quickly make sure the room isn't closed out for maintenance or other reasons.

Toggle your calendar view to show you the Room Type View. You can easily spot any blocked dates highlighted in red on your Room Type view.

Toggle back to your calendar view back to the Physical Room view to add a booking.

2. Pick your dates and room

On your calendar, simply click once on the guest's arrival date, and then click again on their departure date. The dates they are staying will be highlighted for you. Then, just click the 'Add Booking' button.

3. Tell us who is staying

Now it’s time to add the guest's details.

Start typing their first name, surname, or company.

Here is a handy shortcut: if they have stayed with you before, their profile will pop up in a drop-down list!
Selecting it saves you from typing everything out again and avoids creating a duplicate.

If they are a brand new guest, just pop in their name, email, and phone number.

4. Finalise the details

Double-check that the rate plan and number of guests for the room is correct, and click 'Add Booking' to confirm.

This will open up their full Booking Details page.

5. Save and secure

Once you are happy everything looks right,

  1. click 'Save', and then
  2. close the window by clicking the 'X'.

Your new booking will now sit proudly on your calendar!
