How to split a room to a new booking

A booking could be comprised of more than one room. More than one room is then allocated to the booking however, the booking carries on Booking ID and account.
You may need to split the rooms into their own individual booking. This may be required to split the guests accounts when one booking is made for two guests travelling together, but staying in separate rooms. Splitting the rooms will allow you to bill each guest on individuals invoices.  

Open the Booking Details

  • Click on one of the rooms associated to the multi-room booking.
    The Booking Details will open.

Split the room into its own booking

Note that the Booking Details indicates that the information is for one of two rooms allocated to this booking.

  • Click the 'Split' button.

Confirm the room split

Click 'Yes' on the pop-up to confirm your action.

The Booking Details will open to display the booking created for the split room.

Save your changes

When you have made any change to a booking, it is important to save your changes on the Booking Details.

Note the following on the Booking Details of the split room:

  1. This booking and the original booking have individual NBIDs.
  2. The room options have changed since these are now single-room bookings.
  3. The booking total has updated to reflect only the charges affiliated to this booking.
  4. Both bookings will still be on the same invoice account unless you move one of the bookings to a new invoice account. This line item can be moved from one invoice account to a new invoice account for the same client or a different client.
