Sometimes guests travelling together will reserve several rooms under one main booking, but when check-out time comes, they suddenly decide they want to pay separately or need individual invoices for work!
You do not need to cancel everything and start from scratch. You can easily separate (or "split") one of those rooms into its very own, independent booking. Here is exactly how to do it:
Step 1: Open the Booking Details
Simply click on one of the rooms from that multi-room booking on your calendar. This will instantly open up the Booking Details window for you.
Step 2: Split the room
Look for the 'Split' button on the screen and click it.
Click the 'Split' button.
Step 3: Confirm and save
A quick pop-up will ask you to confirm your action. Just click 'Yes'.
The system will immediately separate the room and display its brand-new Booking Details.
To lock everything in, always remember to click 'Save'!
What happens after you split the room?
Once you have saved your changes, here is exactly what updates behind the scenes:
- New Booking IDs: The separated room will now have its very own, unique NightsBridge ID (NBID), completely independent from the original booking.
- Updated Totals: The total cost will automatically update so it only reflects the charges for this single room.
A quick tip on Invoices: Even though the booking is split, it will still temporarily sit under the original guest's main account. If your guests want completely separate bills, you can now easily move this new booking to a new invoice account for them!
