How to set up a Minimum Advanced Stay

You can choose to set a minimum amount of days before arrival that a guest can book to stay at your property.

The Minimum Advanced Stay will update to:

  • Your NightsBridge booking engine
  • Local channels
  • Booking.com
  • Airbnb
  • Expedia

This feature is only available if your NightsBridge setup is currently set to not accept same-day bookings.

Log into the NightsBridge Setup

Log into your NightsBridge Setup. Please look at our articles on how to do this if you need more information.

Click Step 4 Deposit & Booking Policy

Scroll down to Minimum Advanced Stay

  1. Set Accept same-day bookings? to No
  2. Set Minimum days in advance? to Yes
  3. Add the Number of days prior to arrival you would like
  4. Add a Cut-off time. This time will be on the first available day that a guest can make a booking (determined by the number of days prior to arrival).  
    If a guest tries to book after the cut-off time has passed, the booking engine will automatically show availability for the next day.  
  5. Optionally you can choose whether to Update to Booking.com?

We will override your existing Booking.com settings with our:

  • Same-day settings,
  • Minimum advance day settings, and
  • Cut-off time.

Please note:  This is a global setting for all room types connected from NightsBridge to Booking.com. If you have these settings set differently per room type we suggest not using this feature in NightsBridge.  

When this setting is set to No, or you change it back to No, you will need to manage it on Booking.com directly as you were previously.

Save and publish

Scroll down and click to Save your changes.

Exit the Deposit & Booking Policy screen and click Publish on the main Setup menu.

Check your booking engine

Open your booking engine to see how the Minimum Advanced Stay reflects. Replace the xxxxx in the link below with your 5-digit NightsBridge BBID.

  • https://book.nightsbridge.com/xxxxx

The Check-in date will automatically be adjusted to be forward in time by the amount of days set in for Minimum Advanced Stay.

In this example the day the booking engine is looked at is 10 August 2023, but bookings will only be available from Tuesday 15 August 2023 as we have set a 5 day Minimum Advance Stay rule.

If the booking engine was looked at on 10 August 2023, after the cut-off time of 10:30 - the first available bookable day would be Wednesday 16 August 2023.
