Definitions of room types and their related occupancy

This list explains what each of the different room types mean in the NightsBridge Setup. You use this list when creating a new room type in Room Type Info.

Type of Room Meaning Occupancy
Single 1 x single or 1 x three quarter bed

Double
1 x double bed 2
Queen 1 x queen bed 2
King 1 x king bed 2
Twin 2 x single or 2 x three quarter beds 2
Family Beds for at least 2 adults, plus bunk beds/sofa beds. 3+
Apartment Unit in a building with walls to separate the space
As indicated
Triple 3 x single or 3 x three quarter beds, or
1 x double/queen bed plus 1 x single bed

Quadruple Beds for at least 4 adults 4
Loft Unit in a building with little to no walls to separate spaces and higher ceilings

Suite Larger than a room with more than one space in the room e.g bedroom plus lounge or dining area

Large Suite Larger more open suite with more than one space in the room eg bedroom plus lounge and dining area

Penthouse Large apartment or loft on the top floor of a building

Studio Open plan smaller apartment with usually one bedroom

Cottage Smaller than a house and has a more polished finishes than a cabin
As indicated
Cabin Smaller than a house and has a more rustic finish compared with a cottage

Chalet Wooden house with sloping roof As indicated
Rondawel Cone shaped building where the roof is usually made of straw or thatch

Villa Luxury house and larger than a holiday home
As indicated
Mobile Home Portable house that either has wheels at the base or can be connected to a vehicle to be moved

Bungalow 1 - 1.5 story house with a front porch and sloping roof

Bed in Dormitory Individual bed in a dorm room

Dormitory Room Whole room with multiple beds, usually bunk beds. Commonly found in a Backpackers.
