How do I search for a transaction?

Search for a specific transaction item, such as invoices, payments, credit notes and journal entries.)

Click on 'Clients'

In the drop down list select 'Transactions'

Search Client Transactions

There are different ways to search for the transaction you are looking for.

Click on 'Type"

Click on the drop-down arrow to view the different transaction types you can choose from. By default it will always be on all:

  • Invoice
  • Credit Note
  • Payment
  • Refund
  • Take on Balance
  • Journal
  • Reversal
  • All

Other search options

  1. Tran. No: If you know the transaction number, you can enter it here.
  2. Reference: If you know the reference, you can enter it here.
  3. Arrival and Departure: Enter in dates that will help you find the transaction.
  4. Amount: Enter the amount to find the transaction.

Finding the transaction

In this example we will search for the transactions using 'Arrival and Departure'. A payment of R2000.00 was received between the 10th and 13th of July 2022.

  1. Enter in the arrival and departure dates.
  2. The transactions will be displayed. Click on the transaction you are looking for.

Click on 'Transactions'

You can view the transaction in the account it belongs to.
