How to search for a transaction

Tracking down an old invoice or trying to verify a specific payment shouldn't feel like digging through a messy filing cabinet. Whether you are balancing your books or checking a guest's refund, finding a specific transaction in NightsBridge is quick and simple.Whenever you need to track down an item, just follow these steps:

1. Open up your calendar

Start by opening your NightsBridge calendar.

2. Click the Search function

  1. Look for the handy search tool in your calendar and click on it.
  2. Select Transactions from the menu

3. Filter by what you need

Click on the 'Type' drop-down menu to narrow things down. While it will automatically show you 'All' your transactions, you can easily filter this to only show Invoices, Payments, Refunds, Credit Notes, Journal entries, Reversals, or Take on Balances.

4. Search with whatever details you have

You don't need all the information to find what you're looking for!

You can search using the exact Transaction Number or Reference if you have it. If not, just pop in the guest's Arrival and Departure dates, or even the specific Amount.

A quick tip on search results: If you search for a date and only see a white display, don't worry! That simply means there were no transactions recorded during that specific time period.

5. Click to open

Once you spot the transaction you were looking for, simply click on it.

This will open up the client's screen so you can view all the details clearly.
