How to map clients on NightsBridge to customer accounts on Xero

Each time you export to Xero, NightsBridge creates new customers on your behalf.  If you have pre-existing debtors on Xero which you use repeatedly you may want to map your clients on NightsBridge to the customer accounts on Xero. This optional step should avoid duplicate customers from being created.

Open the Account Export tool

Please look at our article on how to access the Account Export tool if you need more information on how to do this.

Find the customer you want to map

  1. Use first name, surname, company or ClientID to find your customer.
  2. Click to Search.

  • The list of customer names will appear with results showing if they are mapped or not mapped.
  • Select the client name you want to map. In this example, we want to map Louis Hardy.

The mapping window will appear.

Map the client

The universally  unique identifier (UUID) is used to map clients on NightsBridge to customer accounts on Xero.

Find the universally unique identifier (UUID) number for the client

  • Log into Xero.
  • Click on Contacts tab.
  • Click on Customers.
  • Click on the Customer name to open the customer's profile.

  • Find the URL in your browser window which contains the UUID number.

Complete the mapping

  1. Enter the universally unique identifier (UUID) number into the NightsBridge mapping window.
  2. Click Save.

Repeat the mapping for any other clients

Repeat these steps for each of the clients you want to map between NightsBridge and Xero.

Return to the main menu to export invoices

  • Click on Back a few times to go to the main menu.
  • You can then start exporting invoices into Xero.  Please look at our article on how to export NightsBridge invoices and credit notes if you need more information on how to do that.
