SafariNow: Payments

The booking payment information is provided in the Notes of the booking.

The payment information is also included:

  • in the bookings email confirmation from NightsBridge
  • on Quick View under Recent bookings

Booking Payment

  • SafariNow takes the deposit payment, according to the deposit policy set on NightsBridge.
  • SafariNow pays out the deposit to the property, less the SafariNow commission total for the full booking amount, within 5 to 8 working days.
  • The property must collect the balance of the payment, plus any additional charges (for extras) directly from the guest.
  • Contact SafariNow directly for all payment queries.

Example:  

For a 50% deposit policy:

Example totals:

  • Booking total: R1000.00
  • Deposit total: R500.00
  • Total commission: R150.00 (1000 x 15%)
  • VAT (on commission): R22.50 (150 x 15%)

Example payment flow:

  • SafariNow collects R500.00 (Deposit total)
  • SafariNow pays out R327.50 to the property (Deposit less commission and VAT)
  • Outstanding booking payment balance of R500.00 to be collected from the guest directly by the property.

Here is a breakdown on how this is calculated:

  • On the total in this example, 15% commission is R150.00
  • 15% VAT of the commission only is R22.50
  • The total commission + VAT  is R172.50

International properties

Receiving payment from SafariNow

  • To receive payments from SafariNow, international properties are required to provide SafariNow with an invoice that includes their banks SWIFT code.
  • SafariNow does to transact (pay out) to foreign bank accounts with these conditions:
    • payments are on made in ZAR
    • any potential fees incurred (associated to the transaction) will be for the propertys own account.
