How to find the credit card details of a guest

This tutorial will assist you to find credit card details of guests to manually process either using a payment gateway or a credit card machine.

Please note that this does not apply to virtual cards. Different booking channels activate virtual credit cards to be charged according to policies on their site. The Virtual Credit Card rule depends on which booking channel (Extranet) the virtual card is from like Agoda, Booking.com, Expedia, etc. and when they allow you to view card details.

If you have a payment gateway or allow NightsBridge to process virtual credit cards, these transactions are processed automatically.

  • Guests' credit card details are found in the Booking and Payment Status of a booking.
  • The information is protected by a one-time pin (OTP).

Search for the booking

In the menu on the left, enter the 8-digit Booking ID in the search bar then click Go.

This will open up the Booking and Payment Status page of the booking.

Click on Credit Cards under the Payments menu

Get the credit card details

On the Booking and Payments Status page, in the Booking Details tab, under Room Details, click Retrieve Credit Card Details.

Choose how you would like to receive the one-time pin (OTP), either via Email or SMS, then press Send.

Receive pin

  • A pin will be sent to the email address or the security cell phone number in your NightsBridge Setup.

The OTP is only valid for 15 minutes to view the credit card details for this booking.

Did you receive your pin?

  • If you chose the email option, there may be a delay with email servers.
  • Click Send and Receive or Refresh on your inbox.

Did you receive your pin?

Request a new pin using the SMS option.

Enter the one-time pin

  • Type/paste the OTP in the Enter Pin field.
  • Click Confirm.
Enter Pin Code

Card details will be displayed

Congratulations, you are done!
