How to identify a direct booking

Being able to quickly identify whether a specific booking is direct or not also helps with accurate reporting, commission checks, and day-to-day decision-making.

This article shows you where to look in your booking system to confirm whether an individual booking is a direct booking.

Open the Booking and Payment Status of the booking.

  • Click on the arrow to expand the Booking Details.
  • Note the 'Source' within the Booking Notes section

Types of Direct Bookings

A booking can be identified by the booking 'Source' displayed.

Here are the booking source indicators and what they mean:

1. Own Website (NightsBridge)Online Bookings made using your Booking Engine via your website.
2. ManualBookings that were manually captured on your NightsBridge Calendar.
3. WebView (NightsBridge)Bookings that were manually captured on Owner's Login (WebView).

4. Facebook (NightsBridge)Online bookings made using your Booking Engine via the unique link on your Facebook business page.
5. Instagram (NightsBridge)Online bookings made using your Booking Engine via the unique link on your Instagram business page.
6. TikTok (NightsBridge)Online bookings made using your Booking Engine via the unique link on your TikTok business page.

1. Own Website (NightsBridge)

Online Bookings made using your Booking Engine via your website.

2. Manual

Manual bookings captured on your NightsBridge Calendar.

3. Webview (NightsBridge)

The booking source 'WebView (NightsBridge)' is used for bookings manually added via your Owner's Login, as well as those added via the mobile app.

In addition to the 'WebView (NightsBridge)' source, bookings made on the mobile app will have 'Captured on mobile device' within the Notes.

4. Facebook (NightsBridge)

Online bookings made using your Booking Engine via the unique link on your Facebook business page.

5. Instagram (NightsBridge)

Online bookings made using your Booking Engine via the unique link on your Instagram business page.

6. TikTok (NightsBridge)

Online bookings made using your Booking Engine via the unique link on your TikTok business page.

When using a PMS (Property Management System) connected to NightsBridge with either BridgeConnect or BridgeSynch, your PMS will not send the booking details from your PMS to NightsBridge. Your PMS will only send the blocked availability (inventory) for those days, to NightsBridge.

  • You will not see 'Manual' as a source on the Booking and Payment Status.
