A Facebook business page could be an additional source of direct, commission-free bookings. The link to your NightsBridge Booking Engine can be added as the 'Action button' on Facebook - this allows guests to book with you directly, right from your page on Facebook.
Set up correctly, the unique link will also allow you to identify Facebook as the source for any bookings received through it.
This feature only works for Facebook Business Pages. It cannot be used within Facebook groups or personal profiles.
This example shows a Call-to-Action button that links the "Contact us" or "Learn more" button to your NightsBridge direct booking engine.
Two button options are available when setting up the Action button
- 'Contact Us' or
- 'Learn more'.
Once setup, guests can access your Booking Engine by clicking the 'Action' button

How to add or edit the Facebook Action Button
Using Facebook as a source of direct bookings can be setup in two steps:
- Add your facebook-specific booking link to your Facebook business profile
- Contact NightsBridge to activate the link.
1. Adding the link to Facebook
Access your Facebook business profile
Your business profile is linked (but separate) to your personal profile.
Log into Facebook as usual and access your existing business profile.
- Click on the profile icon on the top right of your Facebook page to open the drop-down menu.
- Select your business profile from the list provided.
The management page for your business profile will open.

- Select the menu button (three dots) to the right of the screen - a drop-down menu will display.
- Select 'Edit Action Button' from the available options - this may read "Add Action Button" if you have not had an action button previous set up.

If you've previously had the Action Button setup for another use such as Whatsapp or with your website, you will need to click the 'Change Button' button to be able to select a new use for the Action Button.

From the available Action Button options, select either:
- 'Contact Us' or
- 'Learn more'
Both options are able to open the Booking Engine - the only difference is the text displayed.
3. Click 'Next'.

Select 'Add website link' - if you've selected the 'Learn more' option, this step is skipped.

Add your NightsBridge booking engine link
1. Type or copy/paste the below text (URL) into the available field:

2. Replace the 'xxxxx' with your NightsBridge BBID
3. Click 'Save'.

2. Contact NightsBridge
Contact NightsBridge, using your preferred contact method:
- Briefly request that the Facebook link for your property be activated.
Testing the Action button & tracking bookings
Once you have received confirmation that the link is active, open and view your Facebook page as a guest would, to test the link.

A new tab in your web browser will open with displaying your Booking Engine.
You have now successfully linked your NightsBridge Booking Engine to your property's Facebook page.

Any booking made from the Booking Engine Link on Facebook will display "Facebook" as the "Source" in NightsBridge.
You'll also see Facebook recorded as the booking source in all the reports where that is listed.
