Why Can't I See User Passwords?

Ever gone to look up a team member's password, only to find a row of six mystery dots? While it's frustrating when you're in a hurry, it's actually there to keep your system secure.

Why Your Screen Doesn't Show the Password

At NightsBridge, we take the security of your property's account and your guest data extremely seriously.

To keep your system completely secure, our database uses a tight security lock. The very moment you save a user's password, the system encrypts it and locks it away. The page you see on your screen literally doesn't know what the password is. It only knows that a password exists.

To protect your safety, we always display six dots as a placeholder. That way, even if someone is standing right behind you looking at your screen, your team's login details remain completely private and safe.

The Quick Fix: How to Reset a Forgotten Password

If anyone's forgotten a password, although you can't view it, you can change it to a new one in just a few seconds.

Head over to your Manage Users page, find the team member's name and click to edit their profile.

Simply click into the password field (with the six dots), type in a new, unique password, and click Save.

Share the new password directly with your team member so they can log in.
