How to change your rates using the Rate Overrides feature

Our Rate Overrides feature lets you override your rates for specific periods without needing to update your RACK rates within your seasons.  This is a convenient way to increase of decrease your rates for shorter periods without the need of adjusting your existing seasons and creating new seasons.

Rate Overrides allow you to override rates for a specific combination of Rate Sheet, Room Type, Meal Plan and date range. When using the Rate Override feature, you will be applying a override rate amount, and not percentage as used when applying a Rate Discount.  

Create your Rate Override

  • Click on the '+Add' button

Complete the Rate Override information.

  1. Click on the 'Rate Sheet' drop-down menu and select the applicable Rate Sheet
  2. Click on the 'Room Type' drop-down menu and select the Room Type
  3. Click on the 'Meal Plan' drop-down menu and select the meal plan
  4. Click on the date widgets to select the applicable date range
  5. Enter the override rate or rates depending on your per person or unit pricing
  6. Click on 'Save'

Publish your changes

  • Click the 'Exit' button on the Rate Overrides page
  • Click 'Exit' the Rate Discounts page
  • Click on the 'Publish' button within the orange banner message.
  • A confirmation message will display

Rate Override Display - No labels or tags

Since the Rate Override feature is different to the Rate Discount feature, the system will not include any price change labels.
It will only provide the booker with the rate updated by the Rate Override.

Confirming your rate markup online

  • Open both your Booking engine and Rate Capture on Setup.
  • compare the published rate (for the applied rate override) with the rate that you have saved

Confirm that the rate on your NightsBridge Booking Engine has changes to the amount applied to the Rate Override.
