How to generate and send a payment link to a guest

Taking online payments shouldn't be a headache. Whether you are using NightsBridge Pay or another connected payment gateway, we make it simple to create a secure payment link and send it straight to your guest. Here is a quick step-by-step guide to help you through it.

Step 1: Head to the guest's booking

First, open up the Booking and Payment Status page for the specific guest.

If you need a quick refresher on how to find this, don't worry - we have a handy tutorial called "How to Find a Guest's Booking and Payments Status page" to point you in the right direction!

Click the Create Payment Link button. A pop-up message will appear asking if you'd like to make this a 3D Secure payment link.

Step 3: Choose your security level (We highly recommend 3D Secure)

We always recommend clicking Yes. This simply means your guest will get a quick OTP (One Time Pin) or a prompt on their mobile banking app to approve the payment. It's a quick extra step for them, but it drastically reduces the risk of fraud and chargebacks for you - meaning you can sleep better at night knowing the payment is secure.

Note: If you decide to skip this extra security by clicking No, please remember that you will need to manually collect some extra documentation. You must get the guest to sign the NightsBridge Pay transaction slip and take a copy of their ID, passport, or driver's license to protect yourself. A pop-up will ask you to confirm this choice by selecting 'Non 3D-Link'.

Once you've made your choice, your shiny new payment link will display. Just click the Copy button. Now, you can easily paste that link straight into a WhatsApp message, an email, or a text message to send directly to your guest. All they have to do is click and pay!

Taking a payment in person? If your guest is standing right in front of you, you might want to try NightsBridge Tap. It lets eligible NightsBridge Pay clients use a compatible mobile device just like a card machine. Our NightsBridge Pay Sales Team would be happy to tell you more!
