We recommend going to your website and viewing it as a potential guest would. Would you like to visit or go stay at your property just from what you see on the site? Can you find the most important information easily and quickly?
Do you have a direct booking button / check availability button on your site?
You should have a Book Now / Check Availability button displayed in a very prominent position on your site. This should link to your NightsBridge booking form, and open in a new page.
Keep in mind that direct bookings from your website are commission-free. The NightsBridge booking form has recently received a total overhaul and displays your content in the way guests prefer to see it. Read more here.
Is your booking button easy to find?
Make sure your booking button is as prominent as it could be. We suggest adding it right at the top of your site or as a menu bar item for easy access. Guests who want to check your rates and availability should be able to do so quickly.
Do you have other booking links on your site?
If you have any accolades you want to display from booking sites, or want to advertise that you have listings on them as well, feel free to add the logos to your website. Just keep in mind: if you link these logos to your listings on the booking sites themselves, you will pay commission on the booking if someone clicks through and make it there.
In this screenshot, the property shows their NightsBridge link, but they also send site visitors to Airbnb or Booking.com - where a booking will cost them commission.
Having your own (NightsBridge) booking form as the only availability / booking link on your site can save you money as bookings through it will be commission-free.
Are your social media links going to the correct addresses?
When you click on your website’s social media links, it should redirect to the accounts you have. We regularly see these links not going anywhere, or simply just reloading the website when you click on them.
It is also recommended that these links open in a new tab. That way your site still stays open for the guest to return to easily.
If your links are not working as they should, please ask your web designer to relink it to the correct web address for each.
Is the map on your site working?
A lot of properties use Google Maps on their websites. Google Maps are however not allowing free use as they used to, and you can might see this error:
Make sure this is not happening on your site.
Test the emails sent from your site.
If you have a query box for site visitors to email you from, test it to see if you get the mail.
